Soothe Sidechain Presets (2)

Two of my favourite sidechain presets for Soothe2.

Kick Bass Sidechain:
This preset works really well for subtle kick and bass sidechaining. Put Soothe on your bass (group) and select the sidechain input to the kick. Adjust the Depth to taste (although I usually prefer it's default value).

Vocal Instrument Sidechain:
I love to add this to my mid instruments (like synths, guitars, keys etc), to make more space for the vocals. Just a few dBs can make a lot of space in the mids for the vocals. I prefer to place this sidechain on a buss where all melodic instruments (that might clash with the vocal) come together. The sidechain input can be the lead vocal, but I prefer a buss with all vocals, including backings and harmonies. Adjust the Depth, Link value and sharpness to taste (also here, I usually prefer the default values).

How To Add It to Your Presets:
1. Open Soothe2 in your DAW
2. Go to the presets browser, and click the button "Open From File"
3. Right click on the Finder pop-up and select "Show In Finder"
4. Add the unzipped .preset files to the Presets Folder
